Director – Creator
Eliza Muldoon is a lecturer, a psychology graduate, a curator, a writer, a project coordinator, a crafter and currently holds the position of artistic director of Art Month Sydney. Eliza completed a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) honours degree with postgraduate studies in Clinical Art Therapy. She is a lecturer and course coordinator at the School of Art History and Art Education within the College of Fine Arts, UNSW and the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS). She currently lectures in Organisational Psychology, Educational Psychology, Art as Therapy, Communication in Art and Design, Global Citizenship and Professional Practice. In 2012 her first craft book ‘Lazing on a Sunday Crafternoon’ will be released through Allen and Unwin.
Eliza’s professional ventures explore the interaction of art and psychology and their combined potential to influence the development of individual, community and arts industry wellbeing with specific interest in research and promotion of the benefits of arts participation.
Alex is an emerging curator and writer and has worked for many organisations including Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art, London, Coo-ee Aboriginal Art and currently at the Visual Arts Board of the Australia Council for the Arts. Alex contributes to a variety of publications including arts interview, Das 500, Desktop Magazine, Corker Magazine and Manuscript. He has worked with the National Institute for Experimental Arts on the editorial management of wetrythisathome.org and co-curated the touring exhibition KABUL KIDS. In 2013 Alex will undertake a guest curatorship with Redfern’s SLOT gallery.
